Best choice for the environment

Most sunglasses nowadays are made from acetate, which is flexible, hypoallergenic and super durable. As this material comes from renewable sources (natural cotton pulp and wood pulp), it’s already way better in terms of sustainability compared to traditional plastics. However, there is one big problem with this material, namely the chemical plasticizers used for plasticity and strength of the acetate. To solve this issue, a more environmentally friendly material (hi bio-acetate!) is developed, that uses a plasticizer that is derived from a natural source. Bio-acetate is bio-based, biodegradable and is perfectly recyclable.
